Çanakkale - Wooden Horse (Troy)
The Trojan Horse was a wooden horse said to have been used by the Greeks during the Trojan War to enter the city of Troy and win the war. The Trojan Horse is not mentioned in Homer's Iliad, with the poem ending before the war is concluded, and it is only briefly mentioned in the Odyssey. But in the Aeneid by Virgil, after a fruitless 10-year siege, the Greeks constructed a huge wooden horse at the behest of Odysseus, and hid a select force of men inside, including Odysseus himself. The Greeks pretended to sail away, and the Trojans pulled the horse into their city as a victory trophy. That night, the Greek force crept out of the horse and opened the gates for the rest of the Greek army, which had sailed back under the cover of darkness. The Greeks entered and destroyed the city, ending the war.
Metaphorically, a "Trojan horse" has come to mean any trick or stratagem that causes a target to invite a foe into a securely protected bastion or place. A malicious computer program that tricks users into willingly running it is also called a "Trojan horse" or simply a "Trojan".

TROY ANCIENT CITY
TROY ANCIENT CITY
Troy is an ancient city and archaeological site in modern-day Turkey, but is also famously the setting for the legendary Trojan War in Homer's epic poems the "Iliad" and the "Odyssey."
In legend, the city of Troy was besieged for 10 years and eventually conquered by a Greek army led by King Agamemnon. This "Trojan War erupted because Helen, a queen from Sparta, was abducted by Paris, the son of Troy's King Priam, according to Homer's epic poem "Iliad." Throughout the "Iliad," the gods constantly intervene in support of characters on both sides of the conflict.
Troy also refers to a real ancient city, also known as Hisarlik, located on the northwest coast of Turkey, which has been identified by many as the legendary Troy featured in Homer's poems." Whether the Trojan War actually took place, and whether the site in northwest Turkey is the same Troy, are matters of debate.

It is not certain
who founded Pergamon, but two different names stand out in written sources.
Pausanias, a traveler and geographer from Lydia wrote in his book
"Description of Greece," He wrote his travels from Greece to Egypt,
that Pergamon was founded by the hero Pergamos. In another source, it is
written that Pergamon was founded by Telephos, son of Heracles. However, the
most definite and accepted information about Pergamon is accepted as the book
"Ten thousands" written by Xenophon, who was a student of Greek
Philosopher Socrates between 400-399 BC. Xenophon mentions that he stopped by
Pergamon between 400-399 BC and stayed at the house of Gongylos of Eretria, who
was a local administrator.

One of Turkey's most impressive archaeological sites, Bergama's acropolis is dramatically sited on a hill to the northeast of the town centre.
Pergamon Acropolis Archeological Site dating back to the 3rd century BC, the Acropolis in Izmir province has preserved many of its structures and works of art. Built on several levels of mounds, the ancient site of Pergamon Acropolis is extraordinarily rich in archeological findings.
Many architectural remains such as the Sanctuary of Athena, the altar of Zeus, the Library of Pergamon, the heroons and Arsenal can be seen in full detail.
Pergamon AcropolisThe Acropolis of Pergamum (Pergamon) is certainly dramatic, perched atop a high, steep-sided hill to the northeast of the modern city center.
The great temples and dramatic theater are visible from anywhere in the city, as they were meant to be.
