What is almsgiving in Buddhism?

In Buddhism, alms or almsgiving is the respect given by a lay Buddhist to a Buddhist monk, nun, spiritually-developed person or other sentient being. It is not charity as presumed by Western interpreters.

We paid 100,000 Kip for this ...."Almsgiving Purpose"! (Note : ~RM23)

We can some sticky rice (2 buckets) and some biscuits for this event.

There are some protocol of the wearing and almsgiving process....

But we are still kelam kabut since we are the FIRST few one in queue to perform almsgiving at 6AM! We are located in the beginning of almsgiving street.....
